After an owner's change, the place is no more open to the public. 9
kilometers from GRASSE, near CABRIS, a medieval village
"perle of the Côte d'Azur".
1.
THE CAVE
Discovered in
1988, and explored to a depth of 186 meters, the course
of a subterranean stream was explored to a distance of
two kilometers. A 30 minutes tour (sneakers suggested)
taking you sixty meters deep into the earth (279 steps
built in six months by a single man). You will see
magnificient limestone growths still active and fed by
veins of water. You will breathe
comfortably
thanks to the pure air flowing from the depths without
pollen or dust.
2.
THE PARK
An easy 800
meters walk commented by walkmen in English, German,
Italian or French will take you 30 minutes (hat suggested
during summer months) visiting prehistoric sites on the
property (reconstructed scenes of family life) and with
geological interest (Jurassic rocks, faults, etc . . .).
The majority of
the six caves in the park were inhabited during
prehistoric times. Numerous protected flowers and animals.
